Meet Sonal

Sonal is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine specialist practicing in the Houston area. She is passionate about helping people heal naturally through Eastern Medicine, diet modifications and lifestyle adjustments. By utilizing the combination of acupuncture, herbs and nutrition, she focuses on treating the root of the problem and to support the body’s natural healing mechanisms.

After working as a Respiratory Therapist for more than nine years and witnessing patients struggle with the side effects of pharmaceuticals and lack of preventative education, Sonal transitioned her career path to Chinese Medicine. Through her clinical experience in both fields, she has had the unique opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients and discovered that integrative medicine is essential for optimal health.

By intuitively listening to the needs of every patient, Sonal harnesses a sense of trust and compassion among her clientele. She believes in creating a healing space where patients feel safe to openly discuss their issues and ailments, which is one of the most important steps to healing. It is in this space she continues to feel fortunate to meet different people, some of which have influenced her own life path. She understands this cooperation from both clinician and client are valuable to patient care.

Outside of the clinic, Sonal enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, meditation, trying new recipes, and reading science fiction. She values the experience of growing up in Houston and enjoys returning to her community to share her services.

Highly recommend Renew Acupuncture. Sonal is very skilled. She goes the extra mile, making sure I’m comfortable on the table. I’ve seen many acupuncturists over the years and she is top notch. She understands the subtle energies involved. She’s helped me with allergies, pain and strengthened my immune system. I always look forward to my sessions with her.
