Ever heard of Qi? Here's why it matters.
You've probably heard the word Qi before — maybe in a yoga class, an acupuncture session, or even on a tea label. But what exactly is it?
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Qi (pronounced “chee”) is your life force — the energy that keeps everything in your body moving and functioning. It's not some mystical thing; it's more like your body's internal current. When your Qi is flowing well, you feel good — energized, focused, emotionally steady. When it's not, things feel off. You might feel drained, stuck, anxious, or notice digestion and sleep aren't as smooth as usual.
TCM views almost all health issues as imbalances in Qi. It can be too low, stuck in certain areas, or even going the “wrong” way (which can show up as things like nausea, coughing, or reflux). What I love about this approach is that it looks at the whole picture, not just symptoms. It's about restoring flow, balance, and resilience — helping your body do what it's naturally designed to do.
There are so many ways to support your Qi. Acupuncture, herbal formulas, breathing practices, even the way you eat and rest — it all plays a role. You don't have to overhaul your life, but even small shifts can make a big difference in how you feel day to day. If you're curious about your own Qi — or just feel like something's a little off lately — feel free to reach out. I'd love to help you get back to feeling like yourself again.
